About AV Group Ltd.

Norway is not only one of the wealthiest, happiest and prosperous countries in the world but its host to the largest sovereign wealth fund in the world. The cause of this prosperity has been mainly to do with the discovery of oil and gas in the North Sea complemented by a forward thinking government that has reinvested its capital into Norwegian Society. However, the oil wealth has overshadowed much of Norway’s expertise in alternative energy and advanced B2B technology in a variety of fields. In addition, much of this technology has not been globalized or grown outside of Norway. Thus, the strategy that is employed by the Fund is to find opportunities where the company has revenue, smart management, leading technology and support from the Norwegian Government through grants and loans.

AVG has formed two Funds, one in Singapore and one in the Cayman Islands in order to capitalize on the large amount of deal flow stemming from the Norwegian venture capital market. The Fund’s objective is to take a strategic equitable positions in Norwegian based Companies through a combination of common equity, preference shares and warrants. The target sectors follow from the main focus of the Norwegian government which are, clean tech, renewable energy, fintech, ICT and sustainable technologies.

The Government is helping Norwegian companies globalize and gives both generous grants and loans to growth companies within their targeted sectors.

The Fund will facilitate the Norwegian companies expansion with the applications for financial support with Norwegian Government programs.

Core Areas of Growth and Innovation

Nordic ESG and Impact™

AV Group Ltd. and its affiliates ("AVG") recognizes that its employees, customers, partners and the vendors that it deals with through its operations can have an impact on the environment and community, and therefore comprehends and endorses the need for adherence to environmental, social, and governance policies consistent with the values of AVG by all parties associated with it.

Our Approach to ESG and Sustainable Investing:
AVG's core focus is on renewable energy, technology and companies that have strict ESG self-governance. AVG benefits from working with the Norwegian Government that strictly adheres to all of the Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) and that will not invest into companies without an ESG policy. AVG has adopted the same standard but in addition to this, AVG has added a few more guidelines:

ESG Integration:
We approach ESG integration as a tailored asset-class process. We are focused on ESG factors that may have a material impact on our investment risk or return. How we consider ESG issues in our investment underwriting, analysis, and monitoring varies by asset-class and investment strategy. For our fund investments we seek to integrate and manage ESG issues throughout the investment cycle. We use an operational due diligence framework to assess prospective fund investments in public equity, private equity, absolute return, real estate, and natural resources. This framework includes an ESG due diligence section in order to ensure that ESG-related questions are assessed and considered during the due diligence process.

Direct Ownership:
As an investor, we recognize that a company's ability to identify and manage ESG risks effectively may affect a company's valuation. Therefore, engagement with companies held in our investment portfolio plays an important role in our approach to sustainable investment. We select companies for engagement based on ESG risks identified as having a direct impact on business operations and shareholder value, risk management oversight and disclosure practices, and the value of our holdings.

Working With Others:
Collaborating with like-minded investors is important to our work. We have joined initiatives that are aligned with - and help guide - our approach to sustainable investment, and we actively work with peers and investors to advance shared goals and develop and define sustainable investment best practices.
